Violet

Violet's the origin story and the bridge. She's from a past arc, one outside the records; the audience might never find out her real backstory.

She arrives at the Deep Dream Wellness center in New Milford looking for relief from anxiety. Like most of the treatments and rewards in the Deep Dream State, though, there's something sinister beneath. Lilly Ekimmu's there to give voice to those shadows.

Violet describes a Pink Room she can't quite remember. She's certain everyone can see her past, that it's visible in her body and written across her face. She might be right.

Lilly listens with professional compassion, but her every word feeds an older design.

Grounding exercises begin. The clinical language is calming at first, but the exercise becomes a ritual. As Violet tries to ground herself in the present moment, she finds herself descending deeper. Lilly's voice guides her down into memory that may not be memory.

Those memories include a woodland ritual. It might be past, present, or future; it might be all three. Violet finds herself in a landscape with other women moving in patterns that feel choreographed. They speak in unison about three goddesses (Inanna, Lilith, Ekimmu) and three rituals. We'll hear them all.

One of those rituals suggest an update to an ancient game. The tools of magic can make a whole new reality, even if it's frightening. The forest path from Violet the patient to Kimmy the showgirl is the hidden mystery of Season Two.
