Chthonic

Ding Ding, Dagon.

E1: Maiden Voyage. Some ice should stay unbroken.

Arc 1: Chthonic

A luxury cruise wedding party sails into an ancient ritual. The ceremony was beneath the ice. Now it's free. Every celebration aboard conceals something older and wetter. By the end of the voyage, there might not be a way out.

Chthonic begins with a ship full of passengers expecting curated pleasure. What they discover is not a hidden cult operating beneath the voyage. They discover more. The voyage itself is the ritual. The parties, the ceremonies, the games, the flirtations, the humiliations people try to laugh away. All of it fits together.

Each episode strips away another layer of ordinary social performance. Guests who boarded the ship trying to manage appearances slowly find themselves participating in something older than embarrassment. Some resist amd some lean in. Most drift toward it piece by piece until the distinction between terror and desire stops feeling stable.

By Spiralstorm, the voyage has transformed into liturgy. The passengers are no longer asking whether the ritual is real. They're asking whether they were ever living outside it in the first place.
